WHAT IS STICK WELDING?
Stick welders for welding a range of materials and thicknesses in the shop or field.
Stick welders from Zelda for shielded metal arc welding (SMAW) use stick electrodes to weld mild steel, low alloy, stainless steels, cast iron, and hard facing for repair, maintenance, and fabrication. Weld a wide range of materials and thicknesses in the shop or in the field.
Stick welding is a simple yet versatile, inexpensive and portable welding process. Flux coated welding rods are used, eliminating the need for bottled shielding gas like that used in MIG welding or TIG welding. Stick welders are ideal to use when welding outdoors and/or welding objects that are rusty or dirty. Most common metals and alloys can be joined using a stick welder. Choose from a variety of Zelda stick welders, including some that also offer TIG welding capabilities for more versatility.
Compact, lightweight and capable. Our stick (MMA) welding equipment meets professional welding demands in every respect. Our high quality machine ensures that every electrode burns effortlessly to produce quality welds.
Valued for its flexibility, MMA is one of the most commonly used welding processes
It is used on a daily basis by DIYers, tradesmen, security metalwork specialists and metal fabricators, as well as on pipe laying work sites. MMA welding consists of creating a high-intensity electric arc between a shielded metal-cored electrode and the metals to be joined.
MMA welding is ideal for almost all metals and can be used outside or even underwater, yielding good results. Zelda offers suitable devices for both commercial and private users. TIG welding can also be performed with some of our MMA welding systems.
